Newsletter of the UCL Oriental Institute Nr 3 – September 2016
After a first 2015-2017 agreement, a second one has been signed for the years 2016-2018 between the Oriental Institute of the UCL and several universities and research centers of Armenia and Georgia. This will allow Armenian and Georgian PhD students to come to the UCL for 3 months research stays.
Concerned HEIs are: Yerevan State University, Yerevan Brusov University of Languages and Social Sciences, and the Matenadaran Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Armenia, and Ilia Tchavtchavadze State University, Ivane Djavakhishvili State University, and the National Center of Manuscripts in Georgia.
This program is coordinated by Professor Bernard Coulie, with the support of the Office for International Relations of the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts and Letters and the Administration of International Relations of the UCL.
Currently, four researchers are spending 3 (Sept.-Dec. 2016) months at the Oriental Institute : Anoush Sargsyan and Ovsanna Keshishyan from Armenian, Irma Khositashvili and Khatuna Gaprindashvili from Georgia.
