President of the Belgian Senate Christine Defraigne hailed her country’s developing cooperation with Armenia as he met with Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan as part of an official visit to the country.
Describing the bilateral relations as excellent, the Belgian parliament official emphasized the need of further efforts towards expanding the partnership in different areas, including economy, IT, health, education and culture.
She expressed her country’s support to the strengthening of the EU-Armenia relations, adding that “the doors of Europe are always open to Armenia”.
Premier Karapetyan, for his part, unveiled a government plan aimed at attracting investments, highlighting the role of Armenia-Valonia Export and the Armenian-Belgian Chamber in expanding business relations, reports the Government’s press service
The sides agreed that the Brussels Airlines’ entry into the Armenian market would intensify the two countries’ dialogue, contributing also to the development of tourism.
