Avec ce nouvel album Apatride, c’est vers l’Orient festif de ses ancêtres qu’il dirige son piano et son équipage cosmopolite : tambours sacrés iraniens, violoncelliste turc, Shéhérazade syrienne, duduk arménien repoussent les frontières mentales pour dessiner les contours d’un Orient idéal.

Notre Collectif a appris avec stupeur que M. Sevket Temiz était le candidat présenté par la Ville de Bruxelles à la présidence du conseil d’administration du CHU Brugmann
Notre Collectif a été institué par divers organisations juives, rwandaises, assyriennes, araméennes et arméniennes de Belgique. Sa mission est de tout mettre en oeuvre pour prévenir la commission de crimes de génocide et pour lutter contre le révisionnisme et le négationnisme.
M. Temiz a nié le génocide des Arméniens de 1915 commis par l’Empire ottoman et a refusé en 2015 de voter la résolution du Parlement bruxellois reconnaissant ce génocide.
Sa candidature et encore plus son éventuelle élection à la présidence du conseil d’administration du CHU Brugmann portent gravement atteinte aux valeurs humanistes.
Ce n’est pas l’origine turque de M. Temiz qui heurte, bien sûr, mais son négationnisme.
Plusieurs associations, parmi lesquelles l'Institut kurde de Bruxelles, la Fédération internationale des Journalistes (Fij) et Info-Türk, ont lancé une campagne de solidarité #SOSTurkey.
Objectif : créer un vaste réseau de solidarité avec les victimes de la répression à la suite du coup d'Etat manqué de juillet 2016. Différentes conférences prendront place dans le cadre de cette campagne. http://www.sosturkey.org/campagne-sosturkey/

A l’initiative de la Fédération Euro-Arménienne pour la Justice et Démocratie, un cercle d’amitié Belgique francophone – Artsakh a été créé ce vendredi 20 Octobre 2017, au Parlement de la Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles.
Une délégation conduite par le Président de la République d’Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, était présente pour l’occasion. Ce cercle rassemble une quinzaine responsables politiques francophones belges venant de cinq différents partis politiques ainsi que des académiques et d’autres personnalités de la société civil belges.

Quatre Californiens d’origine arménienne. Des racines reconnaissables dans leur musique. Certains de leurs textes parlent du génocide arménien (1915-1918). A cette période, près d’un million et demi d’Arméniens ont été tués par le régime ottoman. System of A Down aborde aussi d’autres sujets politiques. Leur musique réunit des éléments orientaux et des échos de Dead Kennedys, Slayer, Van Halen et Frank Zappa. Il en résulte une sorte de alt/rock/metal exotique et captivant.

The Hague/Almelo, 17 March 2017 - Today the Court in Almelo convicted the chairman of the Turkish Azerbaijani Cultural Association in The Hague for inciting violence against Armenians. The Armenian community in the Netherlands, namely the Dutch Armenian Committee for Justice and Democracy (Hay Tad) an the Federation of Armenian Organisations in the Netherlands (FAON) welcomes the verdict, as it puts a halt to the aggression against the Armenian minority in the Netherlands and elsewhere.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to NATO Headquarters on Monday (27 February 2017), for talks on current security challenges and the partnership between the Alliance and Yerevan.
The Secretary General thanked Armenia for its contributions to NATO’s missions in Afghanistan and Kosovo. He stressed that the Alliance is committed to working with Armenia and other partners.

Communiqué du Bureau national du Conseil de coordination des organisations arméniennes de France (CCAF) - 27/01: Par sa décision rendue le 26 janvier 2017, le Conseil constitutionnel a censuré diverses dispositions de la Loi Egalité et Citoyenneté que l’Assemblée nationale avait définitivement adoptée le 22 décembre 2016, sur proposition du gouvernement.
Parmi les dispositions censurées, le Conseil constitutionnel a cru devoir ajouter, de sa propre initiative, l’incrimination de la négation, la minoration ou la banalisation outrancière d’un crime de génocide, d’un crime contre l’humanité, d’un crime en réduction en esclavage ou d’un crime de guerre, lorsque cette minorisation ou cette banalisation constituent une incitation à la violence ou à la haine, par référence à la prétendue race, la couleur, la religion, l’ascendance ou l’origine nationale.
